Softball Recap: Wills Point Tigers vs. Caddo Mills Foxes
Wills Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to the Caddo Mills Foxes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Foxes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on March 7th.
Addison Shields made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dakota Hemmi, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Wills Point's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Caddo Mills, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-12-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Wills Point Tigers take on Ford Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caddo Mills, they will challenge Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Community's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Caddo Mills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
