Softball Recap: Brooke Bruins vs. Indian Creek Redskins
Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Indian Creek Redskins, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 last Thursday.
Brooke saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazymn Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another was Emilee McKinney, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Brooke's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Indian Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will head out to square off against Weir at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indian Creek, they will venture away from home to take on St. Clairsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.57 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
