Hamilton Heights extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Indiana this week by beating Northwestern, 57-21. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Maconaquah and Peru played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Maconaquah eventually emerging with a 34-32 victory.
Hamilton Heights' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Corey Beck threw for 223 and three touchdowns and Grant Weatherford had 142 yards receiving. On the ground Jesse Kerfoot chipped in 149 yards. Ethan Engelhardt helped Hamilton Heights' passing attack out by catching four balls for 47 yards.
Hamilton Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Beck has thrown for 1285 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Weatherford has 25 catches for 512 yards. Conner Faulkner leads the league in rushing with 545 yards.
A big matchup in Mid-Indiana this week will be when Western takes on Mitch Street's team. At the moment, the Panthers are in fourth, while the Huskies are in first.
Taylor made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,500 from 13,632. The improvement was the result of 62-12 victory over the Titans last week.
