Softball Recap: Hurricane Has No Trouble Against Snow Canyon

Hurricane hadn't done well against Snow Canyon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hurricane put the hurt on Snow Canyon with a sharp 12-2 win. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Lizzy Horsley was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 15 contests. Another player making a difference was Ruby Seely, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Horsley wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Hurricane lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Hurricane and bumps their season record up to 4-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Snow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Hurricane will have a chance to go back-to-back against Snow Canyon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
