Jo Byrns dropped down to 4-9 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Trousdale County Yellowjackets, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Red Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jo Byrns saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Trousdale County, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

On Trousdale County's side, Charles McGuire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. McGuire was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Caleb Fruchey was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season. Gavin Linville was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

While Jo Byrns had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
