Perry came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lakewood Vikings a 7-0 shutout. The Ramblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Perry pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Lakewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
