Basketball Recap: Campion Academy's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Campion Academy entered their game against Dawson School on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Campion Academy Cougars fell 41-30 to the Dawson School Mustangs.

When it comes to explaining why Campion Academy lost, don't look at Izuchi Nwankwo. Despite the final result, he posted eight points in addition to five assists and five blocks. Nwankwo is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Marroquin, who had nine points.

Campion Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Dawson School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Campion Academy Cougars challenge the Denver Jewish Day Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dawson School, they will challenge Golden View Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
