Eaton dropped their record down to 20-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They lost 8-0 to the Coal Ridge Titans. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Reds were not able to get on the board.

Eaton got a good showing from Keanan Gallegos, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, Gallegos didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April.

As for Coal Ridge, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 24-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games.

On Coal Ridge's side, the result came thanks to Ben Simons's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. Simons has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Julian Perez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Eaton has already played their next match, a 9-5 loss against Montezuma-Cortez on the 24th. As for Coal Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against University on the 24th.
