Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado and Brawley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Coronado had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 last Wednesday.

Coronado dropped their record down to 18-12-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brawley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Coronado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brawley, they will take on Helix at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scotties have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
