Volleyball Recap: South Gray Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Gray can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Centralia Panthers on Saturday. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

South Gray was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, South Gray had strong showings from Jonalee Zweygardt, who had 11 assists and six digs, and Keagan Showalter, who had seven digs.

South Gray's loss dropped their record down to 38-5. As for Centralia, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-10 record this season.

South Gray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Quinter on the 1st. Centralia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
