Football Game Preview: Hallettsville Brahmas vs. Franklin Lions + How To Watch

Hallettsville hasn't had much luck against Franklin recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Brahmas are taking a road trip to take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Hallettsville has given up an average of 32.6 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hallettsville is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Yoakum on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Brahmas took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 49-21. The Brahmas were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Meanwhile, Franklin entered their tilt with Rockdale on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 70-18. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Tigers are ranked 890th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hallettsville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Hallettsville took a serious blow against Franklin in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 48-6. Thankfully for the Brahmas, Jayden Jackson (who rushed for 147 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
