Volleyball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Deer Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage, Liberty was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Deer Valley Wolverines as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Lions have beaten the Wolverines the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.

Among those leading the charge was Siena Ahlrich, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Ashlyn Cruz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Deer Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Liberty will face off against Atwater at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Deer Valley, they will take on Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
