Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central Takes a Loss

Corydon Central and Madison squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Corydon Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cubs, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cubs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Madison found their leader in freshman Ava Canida, who had 19 digs and two aces. Canida has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Corydon Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

Corydon Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Brownstown Central on the 18th.
