Softball Recap: Bruce Trojans vs. Houlka Wildcats
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bruce). They put the hurt on the Houlka Wildcats with a sharp 22-1 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.
Sammie Gunter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. That run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Sadie Box was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.
