Softball Game Preview: Clovis North Broncos vs. King Wolves

The Clovis North Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the King Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clovis North 1.5, King 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Clovis North picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Kingsburg.

Not much got past Jocelynn Gonzalez, who gave up just six hits to keep Kingsburg off the board. Gonzalez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Victoria Newman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Riley Grealy, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, King earned a 7-3 win over Yucaipa on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won five in a row.

Clovis North's win bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for King, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
