Basketball Recap: Bishop Moore Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Moore can now relate to. They lost to the Eustis Panthers on the road by a 54-36 margin on Wednesday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in January of 2021.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Duayne Dupas, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Romelo Herrera, who put up seven points.

Eustis was led to victory by Cornelius Hines and Andrew Riley. Hines went 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds, while Riley went 7-for-10 en route to 18 points and eight boards. Lomar Sparrow was another key player, putting up two points along with six assists and four steals.

Bishop Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Eustis, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8.

Bishop Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eustis, they will take on Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Eustis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
