After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vernon, Port St. Joe was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Marianna Bulldogs 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Tiger Sharks: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Monday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Port St. Joe wouldn't go down easily and took Marianna into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 22-25, 27-25, 15-11.

When it comes to explaining why Marianna lost, don't look at Player #9. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and three assists. Ashley Bryan also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Port St. Joe's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Marianna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Port St. Joe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wewahitchka on the 6th. As for Marianna, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wiregrass on the 6th.
