Soccer Game Preview: Stowe vs. Spaulding

The Stowe Raiders will challenge the Spaulding Crimson Tide at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Stowe is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Stowe's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Green Mountain Valley School by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Spaulding was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lamoille. The loss continues a trend for Spaulding in their meetings with Lamoille: they've now lost three in a row.

Stowe's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Spaulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Stowe took their win against Spaulding in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Crimson Tide have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
