Clay County barely beat Leslie County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clay County's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Leslie County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay County will welcome Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leslie County, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lee County at 6:00 p.m. The Eagles are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
