Lackawanna Trail won the last time they faced Holy Cross and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions blew past the Crusaders, posting a 53-12 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Isaac Ryon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 242 yards and six TDs on only ten carries. Those six rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Tyler Jervis was in the mix as well, providing Lackawanna Trail with two touchdowns.

Lackawanna Trail didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jervis picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory (which was Lackawanna Trail's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.2 points over those games. As for Holy Cross, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, Lackawanna Trail is taking a road trip to square off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. As for Holy Cross, they will be playing at home against Susquehanna at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
