Volleyball Recap: Cuyama Valley Bears vs. Shandon Outlaws

Cuyama Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Shandon Outlaws by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Cuyama Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 18-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-9.

Shandon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brigitte Uzeta Haros out in front who had 17 kills. Saige Howard was another key player, getting 12 kills and three aces.
