Lakecrest Baptist waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 51-44 win over the State Line Christian Patriots. That's more bragging rights for Lakecrest Baptist, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, State Line Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Austin Nowak went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Brandt Dyer, who posted seven points and seven boards.

Lakecrest Baptist's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for State Line Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Lakecrest Baptist has already played their next contest, a 52-46 defeat against Bethany Christian on the 14th. As for State Line Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-25 win against Pathway Christian on the 17th.
