Softball Recap: Eastlake's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Eastlake managed to slip by Montwood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eastlake Falcons lost 6-0 to the Montwood Rams on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since February 15th.

With the loss, Eastlake broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Montwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Eastlake will face off against Socorro at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Socorro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season. As for Montwood, they will take on Pebble Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Montwood also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 9.5 runs per game.
