Football Recap: Science Hill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Science Hill dropped to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They were beaten by the Maryville Red Rebels 42-10. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Hilltoppers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Maryville, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.1 points over those games.

Will Jones was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August. Cohen Babelay handled things on the ground, rushing for 102 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Science Hill will welcome West Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maryville, they will host Bradley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Red Rebels 9.4, the Bears 8.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
