Venice has gone 10-0 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Venice Gondoliers will head out on the road to face off against the Hamilton Yankees at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Venice's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

Last Friday, Venice came up short against Westchester and fell 66-55. While losing is never fun, the Gondoliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Comets are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Hamilton didn't have too much trouble with University on Friday as they won 71-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yankees.

Hamilton's win came from a few key players Venice will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Garrett Anderson, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Tashlyk, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Hamilton was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University only racked up nine assists.

Hamilton's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13. As for Venice, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Everything went Venice's way against Hamilton when the teams last played back in January, as Venice made off with a 67-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Venice since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
