Baseball Recap: Westfield Takes a Loss

Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the James Madison Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Westfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Pritchard, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for James Madison, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westfield will take on rival South Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, James Madison is set to challenge their familiar foe Oakton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
