Preview: John Jay Wolves vs. Clarkstown North Rams
John Jay has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Clarkstown North Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but John Jay had to settle for a 24-21 loss against Fox Lane.
Meanwhile, Clarkstown North took a serious blow against Clarkstown South on Friday, falling 44-7. While losing is never fun, Clarkstown North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Clarkstown South is ranked 87th).
John Jay's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Clarkstown North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
John Jay strolled past Clarkstown North in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 by a score of 26-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for John Jay since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
