Football Recap: Twin Loup Piles Up the Points Against Palmer

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Twin Loup). They really took it to the Palmer Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-14 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wolves just coasted through the last quarter.

Twin Loup's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Bottorf, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Carter Hall also helped with two touchdowns in total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twin Loup was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hall, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The win (which was Twin Loup's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for Palmer, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Twin Loup will host Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Palmer, they will head out on the road to square off against Chambers/Wheeler Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Renegades at the right time seeing as the Renegades are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
