Basketball Game Preview: Clarendon Lions vs. Marked Tree Indians

The Clarendon Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Marked Tree Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarendon is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Clarendon duked it out with Brinkley on Friday. Clarendon took down Brinkley 46-28.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marked Tree, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 62-38 margin over Maynard on Friday. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Clarendon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Marked Tree, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Clarendon took a serious blow against Marked Tree when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 72-32. Can Clarendon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
