Recap: Miami Country Day Spartans vs. Specially Fit Academy Rams
The Miami Country Day Spartans won the last time they faced the Specially Fit Academy Rams, and things went their way on Saturday too. Miami Country Day walked away with a 61-48 victory over Specially Fit Academy. Given Miami Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Specially Fit Academy is ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Herbert Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Orbe, who scored 18 points.
Miami Country Day is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Specially Fit Academy, they now have a losing record at 14-15.
Miami Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Specially Fit Academy and Varsity Opponent will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
