A Season-Best Performance from Chace Hurley Leads Pueblo South over Pueblo Centennial

On Thursday, Pueblo South got the W thanks in part to Chace Hurley playing the best football he has all season. Hurley picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss). He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 70 yards.

The win (which was Pueblo South's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Hurley and Pueblo South will take on Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Discovery Canyon Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Devon Baker

Discovery Canyon picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Devon Baker. Harrison had no answer to Baker as he picked up a sack and made four total tackles. Baker also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

Discovery Canyon pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Baker and Discovery Canyon will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Caeden Herrera's Big Game Leads Pueblo South over Pueblo Centennial

The second Pueblo South player making an appearance here is Caeden Herrera, and for good reason. He threw for 159 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes.

Pueblo Centennial had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Herrera it was a similar story. When Herrera last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he threw for 76 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards.

Jones Came Up Big in Discovery Canyon's 49-6 Victory

Another Discovery Canyon player making an appearance on this list is Hayden Jones. He threw for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.

For the season, Jones has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 79.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had seven rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.
