Baseball Recap: Humansville Comes Up Short

If Humansville was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Chadwick last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Wheatland Mules on Monday, falling 17-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Humansville dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wheatland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.
