Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale South Starts off Right with Win over Elmwood Park

Hinsdale South took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Elmwood Park Tigers. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: Elmwood Park scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Hinsdale South was led to victory by Payton Hallman and Emily Musil. Hallman had 14 digs and two assists, while Musil had six digs and one assist. That's the most digs Musil has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hinsdale South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lemont on the 26th. As for Elmwood Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Berwyn/Cicero Morton on the 27th.
