On Tuesday, Central faced Bryant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Central Tigers fell to the Bryant Hornets 58-54. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Rj Young, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds for Bryant. The matchup was Young's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Tucker, who posted five points along with six assists and five boards.

Central's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Bryant, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Central Tigers face off against the Cabot Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bryant, they will head out to take on Little Rock Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
