Basketball Recap: Deering Comes Up Short

Deering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Cheverus Stags, falling 48-25. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly 23 points.

Deering's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Cheverus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

When Deering and Cheverus next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Deering will try to stop Marshwood's six-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Cheverus will take on Windham and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
