The Veritas Academy Monarch's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-32 loss at the hands of Dayspring Christian Academy. Veritas Academy has struggled against Dayspring Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Dayspring Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Noah Huxta, who scored 18 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. Huxta has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Bearden, who scored 12 points along with six steals.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
