Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winston Academy). They were the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over the Ethel Tigers on Saturday. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Jayson McMillin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
