Skyline had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Jordan Beetdiggers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maya Jacobsen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Mia Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Skyline's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jordan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Coming up, Skyline will welcome East at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jordan, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
