Basketball Recap: Mountain Range Victorious

Colorado Academy came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Mountain Range, but Preston Brunton wouldn't allow it. Mountain Range came out on top against Colorado Academy by a score of 48-38 on Saturday with plenty of help from Brunton, who posted 29 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. His morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points.

Colorado Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Connor Flaherty, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Henry Cohen was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Mountain Range's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Colorado Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Mountain Range didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-50 defeat against Fairview on the 16th. As for Colorado Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-39 loss against Golden on the 16th.
