Football Recap: Palmetto Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Palmetto, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 13-7 victory over Sports Leadership & Management on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2022.

Ava Alvarez threw for 106 yards and one touchdown. Francesca Lara was her top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Serenity Simon rushed for 35 yards.

Palmetto is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.

Palmetto has already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Coral Reef on the 14th. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will square off against Ransom Everglades at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 4.1 points per game this season, so Sports Leadership & Management's offense will have their work cut out for them.
