Basketball Recap: Jashiya Jackson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Village

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Grange, Schulenburg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 41-37 victory over the Village Vikings.

Schulenburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jashiya Jackson led the charge by putting up five points and six rebounds. What's more, Jackson also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Alana Herzik was another key player, posting seven points and five rebounds.

Schulenburg's record is now 10-6. As for Village, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Schulenburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-37 loss against Caddo Mills on the 14th. As for Village, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-27 win against Brazos on the 14th.
