Basketball Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sitka last Thursday, Lathrop came back down to earth. The Lathrop Malemutes fell 51-39 to the North Pole Patriots on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Malemutes in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Pole, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Lathrop didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-54 victory against Valdez on the 11th. As for North Pole, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-39 win against Sitka on the 11th.
