It was fun while it lasted, but Spearfish's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Friday. They fell 55-43 to the Brandon Valley Lynx. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Spearfish's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylon Doren, who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and five boards, and Kade Vavruska, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Kortan, who put up four points and eight rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Spearfish fell to 6-1. As for Brandon Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Spearfish has already played their next game, a 50-44 loss against Harrisburg on the 18th. As for Brandon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-43 victory against Douglas on the 18th.
