Football Game Preview: Linn vs. Onaga

Linn will be playing at home against Onaga at at 7:00 PM on Thursday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

After soaring to 44 points the game before, Linn faltered in their match last Friday. They were dealt a punishing 8-58 loss at the hands of Pike Valley. A silver lining for Linn was the play of senior Joseph Trumble, who rushed for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. Trumble has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between Onaga and Wetmore was still a pretty decisive one as Onaga wrapped it up with a 36-18 win. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (30) and coasted on those for the win.

Onaga's victory lifted them to 2-6 while Linn's defeat dropped them down to 1-7. We'll see if Onaga's success rolls on or if Linn are able to steal their positive momentum.
