Volleyball Recap: Tri-County Takes a Loss

Tri-County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Pacelli Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Penguins haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-16.

Zoey Baughman paced Tri-County's offense, picking up six kills. Baughman were helped by Addyson Rettler and Elliana Rettler, who contributed six assists each. Josey Boyd controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Tri-County's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mauston on the 29th. As for Pacelli, they will head out to take on Columbus Catholic on Saturday.
