Softball Recap: Midland Legacy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Midland Legacy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They blew past the Greenwood Rangers 12-6. Considering the Rebels have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Midland Legacy got a massive performance out of Parker Brooks, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Brooks also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Sadie Davis was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Midland Legacy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Greenwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9-1.

Coming up, Midland Legacy will take on Leander at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midland Legacy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Leander likes a good challenge. As for Greenwood, they will face off against Cooper at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
