It was a good run, but Wauseon unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evergreen Vikings. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Vikings are ranked 395th).

Wauseon's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for Evergreen, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wauseon will take on Pettisville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evergreen has already played their next game (against Ottawa Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
