Basketball Recap: Madrid-Waddington Takes a Loss

Madrid-Waddington lost against Saranac Lake back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets were dealt a 53-24 loss at the hands of the Saranac Lake Red Storm. The loss was the Yellowjackets' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madrid-Waddington fell to 2-1. As for Saranac Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madrid-Waddington will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Lawrence Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Saranac Lake, they will take on Lake George at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Saranac Lake's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lake George has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
