Salmen came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Fontainebleau, but Laderricka Payne wouldn't allow it. The Fontainebleau Bulldogs walked away with a 43-36 victory over the Salmen Spartans on Tuesday thanks in part to Payne, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Fontainebleau is 3-1 when Payne posts ten or more boards, but 11-17 otherwise.

Edrionne Cooper was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Salmen lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jamari Muse, who posted five points in addition to five boards and four steals. Those four steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Thomas, who put up 11 points and five steals.

Fontainebleau has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season. As for Salmen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Fontainebleau is taking a road trip to face off against Chalmette at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fontainebleau is facing Chalmette at the right time seeing as Chalmette is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Salmen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-47 loss against Slidell on the 13th.
