Basketball Game Preview: Fulton Pirates vs. Carson City-Crystal Eagles

Fulton and Carson City-Crystal are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Fulton Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Carson City-Crystal Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fulton will head into Monday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They had to suffer through a 62-32 loss at the hands of Fowler. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Carson City-Crystal was beaten by Fowlerville 69-41 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Carson City-Crystal saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Collin Andrews almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Andrews a new career-high. Isaah Kirvan was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Carson City-Crystal's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Everything came up roses for Fulton against Carson City-Crystal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 60-33 win. Will Fulton repeat their success, or does Carson City-Crystal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
